How You Will Learn

You will be given access to online theory learning which can be completed from home around your other commitments.

Live Client Experience
Throughout your practical training and assessment, you will have opportunities to perform treatments on live clients/models, allowing you to develop real-world treatment experience and prepare for your final assessments.
How You Will Be Assessed
Assessment takes place throughout your qualification and is designed to ensure you develop both the knowledge and practical competence required to work professionally within the beauty industry.
Theory & Workbook
You will complete your online theory learning alongside a qualification workbook containing knowledge questions and activities.
Your completed workbook and theory evidence will form part of your portfolio and must be completed within the required course timescale.
Formative Assessment
Before your final assessments, you will attend a formative assessment day, where you will perform treatments on live clients/models under the guidance of your tutor/assessor.
This gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your developing practical skills, receive feedback and identify any areas that may require further practice before your final assessment.
Summative Assessment
Once your training, theory work and formative assessment have been completed and you are ready for final assessment, you will attend your summative assessment day.
You will be assessed performing the required treatments on live clients/models and will need to demonstrate the practical skills, professional standards and underpinning knowledge required by the qualification.

All required learning outcomes and assessment criteria must be successfully achieved before your qualification can be completed and certification claimed.
Quality Assurance & Certification
Assessment decisions are subject to our Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) processes to ensure assessment is fair, consistent and meets the required qualification standards.
Once all requirements have been successfully completed and the appropriate quality assurance processes have taken place, certification will be claimed through Focus Awards.
Entry Requirements
The Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification is suitable for complete beginners, so you do not need to hold a previous beauty therapy qualification to enrol.
Learners must be aged 16 or over.
You should have a genuine interest in the beauty industry and be prepared to complete both the practical and theory elements of the qualification, including home study, workbook activities, practical training and assessment.
No previous industry experience is required.
