Live Client Experience

You will gain hands-on experience performing dermaplaning treatments on live clients/models throughout your practical training and assessment.

Your tutor will support you throughout your practical development before you progress to formative and final summative assessment.

How You Will Be Assessed

Assessment takes place throughout your Level 4 Dermaplaning programme and is designed to ensure you develop both the advanced theoretical knowledge and practical competence required to safely provide professional dermaplaning treatments.

Theory & Workbook

You will complete online theory learning from home alongside your qualification workbook, containing knowledge questions and activities relating to your Level 4 units.

Your completed theory work, workbook and supporting evidence will contribute towards your portfolio and must be completed within the required course timescale.

Formative Assessment

Before progressing to your final assessment, you will attend a formative assessment day, where you will perform treatments on live clients/models under the observation and guidance of your tutor/assessor.

During formative assessment you will have the opportunity to:

Summative Assessment

Entry Requirements

Our Level 4 Dermaplaning programme is designed for practitioners who already have an appropriate foundation in beauty therapy, skincare or aesthetic practice and are ready to progress into advanced Level 4 treatments.

Learners must meet the relevant entry requirements for the Focus Awards Level 4 qualification(s) included within the programme.

Suitable entry routes may include relevant Level 3 beauty, facial, skincare or aesthetic qualifications, including:

If you have completed your previous training with another provider, we will review your existing qualifications before enrolment to ensure they provide an appropriate progression route into Level 4 training.

Your Qualification
